Mami Confessions: What would you do if you only liked much younger men?

In this week's spotlight from our Confesiones forum, we're highlighting a post from a mom who says that she doesn't like going out with men her age or older than her. In fact, she's been in a relationship with a man who's 18 years younger than her! Although she doesn't say how old she is--and she writes to please not ask her age--she does confess that she's been in the relationship for seven years, but is looking to break it up... she just doesn't know how to do it.

The title of this mom's post is: "I like men younger than me, is that bad?" The slang word for that is cougar and it seems to be more and more popular, as we were able to see in one of our Oye episodes in which this very topic was discussed by our Editor-in-Chief, Johanna Torres and her two guests.

In the Confesiones post, the mom who likes younger men shared this with us:

I'm trying to leave him even though I love him and we've already been together for seven years and I like everything about him, but I think that the relationship has no future because of his age.

She's obviously done something right if they've been together for so long, don't you think? But there's also something that's not right about the relationship if she's thinking about leaving him...

I've never been with a younger man and I don't think I could actually do it, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Dicen que para el amor, no hay edad.

I have been with a younger guy, lots if times. I even married one. The bad thing about him being younger is eventually he will want someone younger than him and he will cheat. And that will devastate your world. I know I've been there and so has our daughter, her world as she knew it was torn apart. But, you get over it and move on. There's always someone else out there.
