Bar Rafaeli tops Maxim Hot 100 list, but where are the Latinas?
There's no denying that Israeli model (and ex-girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio) Bar Rafaeli is gorgeous. In fact, she's topping this year's Maxim Hot 100 list. I don't know if I really agree with her being in the #1 spot but, when I looked at the list, what shocked me the most was that there were barely any Latinas! In fact, the first Latina to make the list of hottest women in the world is Selena Gomez, at number 24. Seriously? Not a SINGLE Latina woman until almost 1/4 of the way through? I think the people picking these women need to get their eyes checked because there are certainly enough Latinas that should have had higher billing.

I think it's pretty clear from the list, which puts Malin Akerman at #9 (cute, not "hot"), Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at #11 (who is she again?) and Emma Watson at #21 (such an adorable girl, but really seriously not "hot", guys), that they aren't in touch with who men actually find attractive. Then it's like they grouped almost all of the Latinas in one neat little clump, with Selena Gomez at #24, Jessica Gomes at #25, Naya Rivera at #27, Eva Mendes at #29, Jessica Alba at #33 and Jennifer Lopez at #37. Afterward, Zoe Saldana comes in at #45, Adriana Lima at #46, Shakira at #60, Sofia Vergara at #71 (SERIOUSLY?!), Dania Ramirez at #83, Daleana Henriques at #89 and La La Anthony at #93.
But, really, how is it possible that the editors of Maxim put a whole 23 women ahead of Selena Gomez, who was voted as the #2 Most Desired Woman in the World by AskMen.com. By the way, Sofia Vergara was #1 on that list—a glaring difference from the #71 on the Maxim Hot 100 list. Clearly they don't know what they're talking about, since the Latina named the Most Desirable Woman in the World should definitely at least have been in Maxim's top 20!

I hope next year they'll come up with a better list because, to be honest, this year's list is ridiculous. While I do agree with some of the women that make the list, there are also some glaring misses (no Penelope Cruz?! No Elsa Pataky?! NO SALMA HAYEK???) and the numbers are, at the very least, completely off. Better luck next time, Maxim, but your list is just plain wrong this time.
