Confessions of a bad wife: I do NOT bring my man breakfast in bed

Let's talk about Kelly Ripa. I've always thought she was a total freak of nature--I mean, in the best way possible. Let's see, the woman is 41 with a hotter body than mine, and I'm 10 years her junior. You could do laundry on those abs and she's had not one, not two, but THREE kids!

She also has an impeccably perky demeanor, even though her day-to-day schedule has got to be totally insane with her regular morning show and all her other media appearances. And now, to add insult to injury, she just made me feel like I'm a totally terrible wife!

"I make his coffee every day," she tells Good Housekeeping of her smoking hot hubby Mark Consuelos, 40. "I cook him breakfast in bed every weekend: scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, wheat toast, and coffee with cream. That’s what he wants. And I serve it to him on a tray."

Holy cow Kelly! Why are you trying to make the rest of us look bad? Want to know what my Saturday mornings consist of? Well, I wake up around 9am, then I proceed to run around my apartment for about 4 hours trying to clean up the destruction that has occurred Monday through Friday, when I was obviously too busy with my full-time job and with my MA studies to get any sort of housework done. Then the next four hours are basically allotted to running around town and trying to handle all of my errands like laundry, groceries, and about a million other little things that I forgot I had to deal with.

I never really bring my hubby breakfast in bed, most certainly not every weekend. Not to say I've never done it--I think I did once, back when we first moved in together for his birthday or something. And I do cook, I actually really love to cook pretty elaborate dinners on the nights that I don't feel like melting into a puddle of tears from exhaustion.

I think it's totally adorable that Kelly is so romantically inclined and I don't blame her, she is obviously just trying to be the best possible wife she can be and make sure her hubby knows that she loves and appreciates him. I feel the same way about my man, I just can't seem to find the time, or, let's be honest, the energy to make him breakfast in bed--and we don't even have kids yet!

So, I have to give it to Kelly--I'm officially certifying her as a Super Woman!

Do you bring your man breakfast in bed...every, single, weekend?
