He described the new movement as "cutting loose the shackles of the past." I come from a family of hardcore Cuban exiles and grew up with stories of an "old Cuba," where food, opportunities and wealth was attainable for "casi todos" or "almost everyone" until Fidel Castro's revolution came along.

The news was especially heartbreaking for her since she and her husband Luis Rivas were trying to get pregnant. Jenni Rivera's niece run over by a car & family asks for prayers


The Rivera family is facing a really tough time right now. Divine Rivera, one of Juan Rivera's daughters (and niece of Jenni Rivera), was run over by a car while on her way to work and rushed to the emergency room. Abigail Hernandez: Missing Latina girl's family pleads for her return (VIDEO)

A mother and daughter took to the media to plead for the return of a 15-year-old girl who went missing on October 9. Abigail Hernandez was last seen walking home from Kennett High School in North Conway, New Hampshire, around 2:30 p.m. that Wednesday. It's believed that she did make it home, but when her mother Zenya Hernandez arrived home from work that day, Abigail was not there, and has not been seen since. "Abi," as her mother affectionately calls her turned 15 on Monday -- just a few days after her disappearance.

Vicente Fernández is no spring chicken, that's why any news about his heath worry me. You don't know how the latest news from Televisa and his family made me panic. They informed his fans that the legendary singer has been hospitalized since Tuesday in Guadalajara with a very serious condition. Even though he assured us all from his hospital bed that he's "been through worse," his oldest son made clear that it was nothing to take lightly. He himself spoke to Mexico's main news show and told exactly what had happened.

WATCH horrific Spain train derailment that killed 78 commuters (VIDEO)

A train derailment in Santiago de Compostela, Spain killed about 78 people and injured 178 others Wednesday evening. It is being called one of the worst train crashes that Spain has ever witnessed and Prime Minister Mariano Rajoj is declaring three days of mourning. Reports say the train was heading from Madrid to Santiago de Compostela when it derailed as it was speeding at more than twice the speed limit as it came around a curve.

Currently there are two investigations taking place within the crash. One is looking into whether it was intentional and the other checking if the train malfunctioned. So far, only one of the train drivers has been investigated in the tragic case. The video of this horrific accident, though, will leave you speechless.
