Human Barbie's face unrecognizable following brutal attack

valeria lukyanova instagram"Human Barbie" Valeria Lukyanova's face is nearly unrecognizable these days, and she says it's not because she's had any work done. The 28-year-old living doll is sporting a pretty gnarly fat lip, complete with cuts and scars courtesy of a couple of thugs who allegedly jumped the poor girl right outside her apartment last week. Talk about terrifying. What's worst is the chic assays she kind of knew this was coming.

Lukyanova, who lives in Odessa, Ukraine, says she was attacked by a couple of strangers in front of her apartment Halloween night. "I came back home from a shop with bags and entered the door code when two men rushed from the dark and attacked me," Lukyanova recounts. "It happened in a flash. They hit me on the head, several times on my jaw, then one of them been strangling me." Luckily, one of Lukyanova's neighbor's "suddenly appeared," which apparently was enough to scare the thugs off. Phew! Thank goodness her neighbor showed up, or else who knows what else would have happened.

Human BarbieThe model says her attackers didn't try to rob or sexually assault her, but that doesn't mean she escaped unscathed. Lukyanova, who was hospitalized for three days following the attack, has been photographed rocking a bandage on her head, as well as a pretty sizeable swollen lip in the wake of the fray. Since being released yesterday, Lukyanova says feels a little better, but admits her jaw still hurts pretty badly. "I have been on the strongest pain killer for four days, but still woke up in the middle of the night from horrible pains," she says. Jeez. That sounds terrible. Who would do such a thing?

Lukyanova says she doesn't know who her attackers were, but she admits she kind of knew they were coming. Though the model has received a ton of attention due to her uncanny resemblance to everyone's favorite doll, she admits not all of the attention has been positive. Lukyanova alleges she's received threats from anonymous strangers for about two years now, and thusly believes the attack was part of an ongoing "hate campaign." And believe me, the haterade is still flowing.

Incredibly, there are still people out there throwing all kinds of shade Lukyanova's way in the wake of her gruesome attack. Rumors have been swirling around the internet alleging the human doll is making the whole attack up in a bid to mask the real cause of her facial scarring and swollen features: plastic surgery. Well, it wouldn't be the first time Lukyanova's had to defend herself against allegations that her body isn't god given. Though she admits her breasts are as plastic as Barbie's, she insists that everything else on her cuerpo is the result of good genes and even better makeup skills.

Honestly, I don't know who to side with. On one hand, I don't want to believe a woman was attacked because people hate her because she's beautiful. And on the other, it would suck to know that someone would stoop so low as to lie about having been attacked to cover up the fact that she's had surgery. No matter how you slice it, it just goes to show that the world can be a pretty ugly place.
