Missing child found in Mexico 12 years after kidnapping

Sabrina Allen found In 2002 when Sabrina Allen was only 4 years old she was abducted in Texas by her mother, Dara Llorens. On April 19, 2002, Dara Llorens took her daughter during a scheduled weekend visit and basically disappeared. Sabrina's father Greg Allen was the custodial parent and he's been desperately looking for his daughter ever since. It took twelve years to track down that little girl, but on Tuesday Sabrina was found in Estafeta Tlaxcala. Mexico and Dara Llorens was arrested thanks to an operation conducted by the Mexican Federal Authority, FBI and U.S. Marshals.

Sabrina is now 17 years old. I wish I could say it was a happy ending and that she has been reunited with her father, but that's not the case.

Sabrina was living in a small apartment with her mother. She didn't go to school the entire time that she was missing and hardly ever left the apartment. Her mother has really done a number on her. He father says, "I understand she's been subjected to intense parental alienation. We have a long road ahead of us."

Ten years ago, Allen remarried and he now has more children. As much as Allen wants to see his daughter he hasn't because, "She doesn't want to see me, she doesn't want to see any of my family, so we are respecting those wishes."

This is so tragic. Sabrina is getting mental health counseling at the moment and I wish her much luck. Can you imagine what this child has been through? She was taken when she was only 4 years old. She's now 17 years old and really does not know anything about her father except for whatever her mother filled her head with.

I feel like such a hypocrite because when I first came across this story I'm ashamed to admit that I thought, well, at least she was with her mother the whole time. The truth is that her mother did not do well by her at all. She stole Sabrina from her father and she she robbed Sabrina of a normal, happy childhood.

Watching Greg Allen in the clip below is heartbreaking. You can see the toll that this has taken on him and how desperately he wants to see his long lost daughter. He doesn't know when he will get to see Sabrina, but In tears he says, "I'm going to ask her if I can give her a hug. She's in pretty bad shape is my understanding. I just pray for healing." Absolutely heartbreaking, my thoughts are with him and his daughter.
