Woman feeds daughter tapeworm to help her lose weight
This woman will not be winning the mother of the year award. A Florida mom reportedly admitted to feeding her daughter pills with tapeworm eggs as a weight loss remedy. Pediatric E.R. nurse Maricar Cabral-Osorio recounted the strange case for the upcoming episode of Discovery's Untold Stories of the E.R., and the details will give you goose bumps and may even make you want to throw up.

When the teenage girl first arrived to the hospital complaining about stomach pains, Osorio assumed that she was probably pregnant, but the truth would turn out to be way more disgusting and disturbing. Once the poor patient rushed to the bathroom and started screaming, the nurse noticed a toilet bowl filled with tapeworms. "It was so gross and she had pooped all these tapeworms. There were a couple that were very long and wiggling around trying to get out of the toilet bowl," she said. This is why I have always said that nurses earn every freaking dime they make! Could you imagine that being all in a day's work?
Finding out that you have tapeworms must be pretty terrifying, but realizing that your mom fed you the gross parasite must be traumatizing to say the least! Osorio explains, "We were wondering how did she get those tapeworms, and then you saw the mom turn white." The mom tried to apologize to her daughter and confessed that she just wanted her to loose more weight before attending a pageant.
What a loca! It is pretty infuriating to know that a mother would go through such lengths to encourage her daughter to lose weight. I can't imagine the pain this poor girl must have gone through. Maybe someone should feed this mother some pills stuffed with tapeworm eggs and see how much she likes it. If Karma really does exist, her toilet will be flooded with Cestodes in the near future. Yuck. I mean, yay?
