Mom's body found stuffed in suitcase at airport & the suspects are shocking

mother's body found stuffed in a suitcase in BaliOn Tuesday, the body of 62-year-old Sheila von Wiese-Mack, an American from Chicago, was found stuffed inside of a suitcase in the trunk of taxi cab on the resort island of Bali. Sheila von Wiese-Mack and her 19-year-old daughter, Heather Mack, arrived at the St. Regis in Bali on Saturday. Then on Monday they were joined by Mack's 21-year-old boyfriend Tommy Schaefer. Something horrible happened between the three because Mack and Shaefer have been arrested in connection to the death of von Wiese-Mack, which makes total sense since it was Mack and Shaefer who put the bloody suitcase with Von Wiese-Mack's body in the trunk of the taxi to begin with and then promptly disappeared.

You are not going to believe the convoluted story they told once they were found.

According to the police, the young couple said that while they were at the resort they were attacked by an armed gang that killed Von Wiese-Mack. Somehow they said that they managed to escape. They were found Wednesday morning at a hotel about six miles away.

Hotel workers and the taxi driver that ended up with the suitcase in his trunk tell a totally different story. According to the taxi driver, Mack and Shaefer put the suitcase inside the cab's trunk and then said they would be back after checking out of the hotel. Two hours later when they still hadn't come back, the taxi driver went looking for them with the help of hotel staff, but they could not be found.

The taxi driver and manager of the hotel then opened the trunk of the cab and noticed that the suitcase had blood on it and the hotel manager suggested the driver go to the police with it, which is exactly what he did.

I don't know what the heck happened that ended with that poor mother's body stuffed in a suitcase, but closed caption footage shows that the mom and Shaefer argued in the hotel lobby on Monday.

I find it hard to believe that if this young couple knew the older woman had been killed by armed gangsters that they would escape and go hole up in another hotel without reaching out to the police.

It's all very, very disturbing. What a terrible way to end your life and possibly at the hands of your own child. I hope the truth comes out shortly and that those responsible for this woman's death are held accountable.
