Abuela's motive for killing 2 grandkids & herself is even worse than you think
A Connecticut grandmother who shot and killed her two young grandsons before committing suicide last year explained her horrific reason for doing so in a note she left to her daughter and son-in-law.
Debra Denison abducted two of her grandkids, 6-month-old Ashton Perry and his 2-year-old brother, Alton, from their daycare last February before killing them and herself in a parked car. Cops, who initially issued an Amber Alert for the two kids, later found their bodies, but had never revealed the 47-year-old grandmother's possible motive--until now. A police report, recently obtained by the Associated Press, sheds new light on why Denison wanted to hurt her two grandkids…and the reason is even more horrible than you might think.

According to the report, Denison had mental health problems and a history of conflict with the boys' mother. Before carrying out the horrific murder-suicide, she had attempted to take her own at least half a dozen times before. And it gets even worse from there.
In addition to leaving a suicide note to her husband, Denison also left a note addressed to the boy's parents, Jeremy and Brenda Perry. In it, she reportedly told them that they did not deserve to have the children and that she wanted them to feel the loss of a child. Ugh. The fact that she killed her own grandkids is terrible enough, but to know she did it for just to hurt the parents…it's just unfathomable.
To make matters worse, Denison and her daughter had apparently been making real efforts to improve their relationship right before she committed the heinous crime. The two were even planning on going to counseling together and Brenda had Denison to the list of people allowed to pick the kids up from school.
This is heartbreaking on every level. Denison clearly suffered from terrible mental illness, but I'm sure those boys' parents never thought in a million years that she was capable of this. I can't even begin to imagine the devastation they must have felt and still be feeling, knowing their kids were killed by someone so close to them—and purely out of spite. The entire ordeal is just too awful for words.
