WATCH: Bus driver viciously beat student, but I can see why
A 14-year-old Indianapolis student claims her bus driver beat her with a broom stick until she was practically unconscious. Autumn Bonilla says 47-year-old Charlotte McDaniel broke her nose after beating her in the face with a broom for causing problems on the school bus.
The teen fesses up to being a troublemaker, but that she didn't deserve to be beaten by a grown woman. The shocking part? The beat down was ALL caught on video!

Bonilla explained that the problem started when McDaniel was disciplining another student on the bus. The bus driver then told Bonilla to put her cellphone away which she refused to do. This ended in a verbal and eventually physical fight.
The video shows the driver attacking Bonilla with a broom repeatedly, which left her with a fractured nose. The teen says at first she had no idea what the driver was using to beat her with and that she nearly blacked out.
Since the incident, the driver is currently on leave as police continue their investigation in the case. Bonilla's mom even pulled her daughter out the school and wants the bus driver punished. "I completely 100 percent admit that I started it. I'm not going to sit here and lie to you. I did start it. But that don't give a grown woman a reason to put her hands on me at all," the teen said.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis Public Schools sent out a statement saying that the way McDaniel handled the situation was wrong. Superintendent, Dr. Lewis Frebee, assured the community that they are taking the case very seriously. "[We're] concerned and want to assure our community that driver or any driver that exhibit those behaviors will not be allowed to transport our students," he said.
I remember riding the school bus when I was in middle school and I know firsthand that most kids are pains in the ASS. I even recall one time my driver couldn't take it anymore and flipped out at the kids on my bus. I sympathize with them because it takes a lot of patience to deal with unruly children daily. However, I don't think McDaniel took the right approach by striking Bonilla the way she did. No brat is worth losing your job over and now she has to face the consequences.
