Teen freezes to death in his own driveway & you'll never believe what he was doing
It has been unbelievably cold in some parts of the country. Being a California girl, it is hard for me to fathom that the cold could be so bad that it could be responsible for killing someone in their own driveway, but that is exactly what seems to have happened to 19-year-old Andrew Norris from Willoughby, Ohio. On Thursday afternoon, Andrew's stepmother found his slumped, frozen, dead body inside of his own pickup truck in the driveway of the family home. He hadn't been seen since Tuesday night, but his family wasn't worried because they thought he was staying with a friend. Apparently, he was in the truck freezing the whole time, but what was he doing there in the first place?

According to his family, Andrew would often go sit in his truck to get some privacy and talk and text with friends on his cellphone. I guess it never occurred to him that such a seemingly harmless activity that he was used to doing could be deadly in bitterly cold temperatures. On the day that he was found the temperature was as low as zero.
I wonder what happened? Did he pass out from the cold, did he fall asleep?
An autopsy has to be conducted to determine whether he died of hypothermia and that could take up to three months. Still, all signs appear to be pointing to his cause of death being the cold temperatures as there were no signs of foul play in the vehicle and Andrew does not have a history of drug use or any medical problems.
My condolences to his family. Can you imagine not only what it must feel like to lose such a young man, but to know that he was sitting out in your driveway for so long before anyone found him? It's heartbreaking to think that he could have been saved if he had been found earlier.
