Evil dad beats newborn so badly that baby had 18 broken bones

A despicable man has been charged with child abuse after his newborn baby had to be treated for 18 broken bones. Police arrested Lance Finner, the father of the 3-week-old girl, who could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted. My mind cannot comprehend, not even for a minute, how someone can be capable of such violence against the most defenseless of human beings.

Luckily, the poor little angel is recovering from her injuries and she's expected to survive. In the meantime, the baby's mother and several of Finner's relatives claim he's innocent. An uncle even mentioned some kind of medical issue with the baby, but gave no details or explanations.

However, if the baby's broken bones--all of which were from the neck down--were caused by some kind of strange illness, I think the medical staff at the hospital where she was treated would've been able to determine so. Instead, all they found was that at least three of the fractures were old and the remaining 15 had just happened.

Police determined that Finner was taking care of his daughter at the time of the injuries, but have been unable to figure out how they occurred. According to at least one account, the baby's mother was sleeping and woke up to the sounds of her daughter crying. She must have sensed something was terribly wrong because she took her to a local hospital and was immediately transferred to Children's Hospital of Detroit.

Child abuse cases are something I'll never get used to hearing. They break my heart each and every time. I pray to God that this little angel never ever has to suffer at the hands of those who are supposed to be her number one protectors.

I think it is well past time for you to do a re-write on this and cover the fact that the doctors in the hospital did not even look for Vitamin D deficiency. The baby has since been diagnosed with Rickets by real doctors. Perhaps you could apologies for your harsh words and use your platform to talk about the importance of not judging people by the way they look.

Shame on you! You don't even know the facts. Get it straight before you go accusing innocent people of such horrific acts. I am a kindergarten teacher and their story is similar to ours. We are going through the same thing and it makes me furious that there are people out there making accusations when they don't know all the facts. My son had 15 fractures healing and fresh and I can tell you we did not abuse our baby. HE also is vitamin d deficient. This is more common than you think...educate yourself and do research because this can happen to ANYONE!!!

Evil Hack journalist irresponsibly writes slanderous rant against innocent father, then refuses to respond when her ignorance was pointed out. Roxana, you should be ashamed of yourself.  Write an update and take this down!

In granting in the defense “motion to quash,” Faunce said the evidence “defies logic” and “is not consistent with child abuse.”

It really is time you address this Roxana.
