Woman seriously traumatized by hour-long vaginal ultrasound that felt like rape

If you've ever had to get a transvaginal ultrasound, then you surely know how uncomfortable it can be. But uncomfortable is not really the word Marianne Keith is using to describe how she felt when she went to the hospital with a horrific abdominal pain and was told to undergo the invasive medical procedure to determine what was wrong.

According to this poor woman, what she felt was like she was being sexually assaulted during the hour-long transvaginal ultrasound. In fact, this is how she described her horrific experience in an interview with The Huffington Post, "It felt like I was being raped. Like somebody was intentionally hurting me."

That's why Keith is now suing Advocate Condell Medical Center en Illinois. The 52-year-old says the technician was so rough during the procedure that she knew as soon as she left the hospital that he had really messed her up down there. According to the lawsuit, Keith's vagina and cervix were badly injured after the ultrasound and she continues to suffer from post traumatic stress syndrome.

But the worst part of this whole ordeal is that this woman hasn't been able to have sex with her husband because she simply can't stand anybody getting near her intimate parts. I feel so terrible for this woman. Can you imagine how terrifying and painful this must have been for her? The only thing I don't get is why she didn't say something during the procedure...
