Positive pregnancy tests for sale on Craigslist!

The beauty and weirdness of Craigslist is that you can find just about anything on it. I can't tell you how many times I've thought of a random thing I would like to own, gone onto Craigslist, and found it for a steal no less. Here's one thing I've never thought of buying from Craigslist, though: a positive pregnancy test. I mean I've wanted a positive pregnancy test before, but I just worked on making my own, it never would have occurred to me to buy one, but apparently there is a market for it and pregnant women are taking to the internet to sell positive pregnancy tests. I read about this and I couldn't believe it so, I decided to see if I could find any positive pregnancy tests for sale myself.

I started my Craiglist search for a positive pregnancy test locally, but no one in San Francisco was selling peed on pregnancy tests, just never been used before pregnancy tests. That led me to think that maybe the reports of peed on positive pregnancy tests for sale were not so accurate and really I didn't want to spend hours scouring Craigslist markets, so I decided I would just head straight to Craigslist postings in Florida because let's face it, Florida is where we find lots of weird lately.

Score! In the Tampa Bay area I found a posting on Craigslist titled: Positive Pregnancy Test - $25, which reads:

You read that right! I'm pregnant and why not let others in on the fun! Want to play a prank on a friend? Baby shower gag gift? I will provide you with 1 - positive pregnancy test no questions asked. Taken same day. It isn't my business what you choose to use it for! This will NOT be a dollar store test. With be either Clearblue First Response or EPT.

So, it's true. Pregnant women are taking to Craigslist to sell positive pregnancy tests for cash. Why would anyone want a positive pregnancy test? Hmmmm, let's think of a few reasons, shall we?

  • To trap someone into marrying you all telenovela style.
  • To ask for money for an abortion and use it for something else instead.
  • To play a prank on your friends and family.
  • Because you are CRAZY!

Just goes to show that you can find just about anything on Craigslist. Here's a screenshot of the ad I found just so you don't think I'm making it up.
