Latina teen mom still in coma after plastic surgery nightmare & her son has no idea she may die (VIDEO)

An 18-year-old girl from South Florida who has been fighting for her life after slipping into a coma while undergoing a breast augmentation procedure, now needs a tracheotomy to help her breathe.

Linda Perez went through surgery two weeks ago at the Coral Gables Cosmetic Center in Florida. She never woke up from the anesthesia and fell into a coma that has left her in a vegetative state. The problem is that the life-saving procedure she needs now also requires anesthesia. And it gets worse: Her 3-year-old son still has NO idea what's going on!

It's been two weeks since Linda went under the knife for a breast augmentation procedure and she still remains in a coma due to complications that have left her with both brain and heart damage. Her parents are still trying to fight the clinic, Coral Gables Cosmetic Center that has left their poor daughter in this terrible condition. But the doctors have refused to provide them with any further information.

"What they gave me is essentially a vegetable," Linda's mother, Mariela Diaz, told NBC 6. The family's lawyer, attorney Mark Eiglarsh claims that in order to find out what happened to Linda it's going to require litigation. "How does an 18-year-old healthy young lady go to have a simple routine cosmetic procedure and come out in a vegetative state?" he asked. Well it looks like the anesthesiologist with the criminal record might have had something to do with it.

Apparently Linda only paid $2,800 for the procedure that normally costs at least double that amount. The doctor who performed her surgery, Dr. Jacob Freiman, is a board-certified plastic surgeon with a clean record thus far. But it appears that the anesthesiologist, Dr. Mario Alberto Diaz, does not. In fact, he served time in federal prison back in 2006 for illegally selling 53,000 doses of pain pills over the internet. He even had his license suspended for a year, but went back to practicing shortly after. Neither one of the doctors have commented on Linda's condition.

This is absolutely devastating! How can such a simple cosmetic procedure go so wrong? Something sketchy definitely went down during that surgery. My heart goes out to her family and her little son. I know it must be hard for the family to tell him what happened--and he probably wouldn't understand it either, just like her family doesn't understand what went wrong. I hope they are able to get some answers, but most importantly I'm hoping she's able to miraculously recover!
