Beer "king" dies & drinking way too much is obviously to blame!

How much beer can you drink in 20 minutes? Joaquín Alcaraz Gracia would be able to brag about drinking 6 liters of beer in 20 minutes if he weren't dead. On Wednesday, spectators in Murcia, Spain watched as 45-year-old Gracia downed 6 liters of beer in 20 minutes and was crowned beer-drinking king in a beer drinking tournament.

Alas, as the newly crowned king lifted the trophy over his head he began throwing up profusely and wouldn't stop, until of course, he stopped.

Once he was done puking, Gracia never spoke again. Municipality vice president Pedro Rodríguez told Hoy newspaper: "He vomited a lot but I sat with him for ten minutes, and he was sleeping and snoring away." The thing is that he wasn't just happily snoring away, he was in cardiac arrest.

Gracia died shortly after being taken to a local hospital and the cause of death isn't clear. Gracia is described as having been "obese" and I'm thinking that drinking 6 liters of beer in 20 minutes couldn't possibly be good for anyone's health.

I don't know, you guys, but I'm thinking it's not such a great idea to have someone drink as much beer as possible in such a short period of time. Apparently, this tournament has a long standing tradition as part of a beer festival, but maybe it's time to come up with a different way to celebrate beer, like maybe how many pints of beer you can pour in 20 minutes.

As for me, I think I can drink about one beer in 20 minutes. That's it.
