Hey dad, a 7-year-old does NOT make a good designated driver
A drunk dad in Australia was wise enough to know that he was too intoxicated to drive himself and his 7-year-old, but insane enough to think that the solution to the situation was to let the 7-year-old drive them instead! Oh yeah, this father let a 7-year-old who shouldn't even be sitting in the passenger's seat yet, but in a booster seat in the back, drive their car.
It's probably that I'm getting older, but lately it seems like drivers are getting younger and younger ... but this is a little too much!

Sometimes I look over to see a driver who looks like a child. I see young men driving who look like they've never even shaved or young women that look like they are barely old enough to ride a bike without training wheels, but I trust they are old enough to be operating a vehicle because who would let an actual child drive a vehicle? This idiot dad did!
Police stopped the car being driven by the boy at 3 a.m. on Friday morning because the headlights weren't on. Okay, I have to interject here: 7-year-olds should not be up at 3 a.m., much less driving drunk fathers around! Of course police were stunned to see a pre-pubescent child behind the wheel.
The drunkard has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and being an adult in charge under the influence of liquor. The child is now in the care of relatives.
I can't believe this actually has to be said, but: Do not drink and drive and if you do drink, do not let a child drive for you! Designated drivers should be old enough to be licensed drivers. Duh!
