Latino man kills sons, but leaves wife alive to make her suffer

Talk about really hating somebody. I mean, that's the only way I can describe what Mexican landscaper Isidro Zavala must have felt for his estranged wife to do what he did early Saturday morning. According to police, Isidro strangled his 12-year-old son with a rope and strangled and shot his 11-year-old while their mother, Victoria Flores Zavala, pleaded with him to kill her instead. But not only did he not listen to her, Isidro made sure she stayed alive so she could suffer the loss of her children. And then, he turned the gun on himself.

What a coward!

In a press conference, police in Boynton Beach, Florida, revealed that Victoria woke up around 2 a.m. Saturday morning to find Isidro chocking one of their sons. She begged him to stop and kill her instead, but he said "No, you're going to have to live with this."

I'm sure words cannot describe what Victoria must have endured during this horrific ordeal. I can't imagine something worse that seeing your children being murder by their very own father right in front of your eyes and not being able to do anything to prevent it.

It sounds horrible, but it would've been so much better if her crazed husband had killed her too. Then again, the couple have a 19-year-old son who doesn't live in the house and was spared too. In fact, police say Isidro left him an "emotional" note among the things they found at the crime scene.

What could have driven Isidro to commit such a horrific crime? We'll probably never know, but one thing is for sure, Isidro was right. Victoria will have to live with this for the rest of her life and I honestly don't know how she will do it.
