Stepdad finally jailed after forcing daughter to shave her head & wear a diaper as punishment

It seems like this year, parents have resorted to using some pretty bizarre stunts in order to punish their kids. From posting ads on Craiglist to using Facebook as a form of public humiliation, kids have been forced to undergo all sorts of strange disciplinary actions for their bad behavior…but it seems like some parents who took it too far are now finally getting a taste of their own medicine!

34-year-old Darnell Alan Landrum and his stepdaughter's mother, 38-year-old Stephanie Ann Broten, were first arrested in May after Landrun punished his 12-year-old stepdaughter for her poor grades by shaving her head and making her run up and down the street in a diaper! Now, the couple are facing their own punishment for their cruel actions: jailtime.

Police say that at the time of the incident, about 50 people were crowded along the street watching the girl sprint in nothing more than a diaper and a tank top. Her head was shaved and authorities believe she had been out there for about 30 minutes before they were called in! By the time they arrived, the girl was reportedly "crying and hysterical."

Police arrested Broten and Landrum on suspicion of gross-misdemeanor malicious punishment of a child. The mom was jailed for 90 days last month and now, Landrum has just been sentenced to 120 days in jail, as well as two years of probation, a $300 fine, and 30 hours of community service.

Good! I'm glad that both responsible parties have been punished. I mean, what kinds of parents force their daughter to do such a thing and then try to play it off as parental discipline? This so-called "punishment" was nothing more than the two of them misusing their power as authority figures and seemed a whole lot more like child abuse than an actual punishment. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the only thing that poor girl learned by undergoing that humiliation is that both of her guardians are obviously need some help.
