Fearless 12-year-old girl shoots man who broke into her home (VIDEO)
Okay, I think this girl deserves the medal for Bravest Girl EVER, after 12-year-old Kendra St. Clair shot a man who broke into her home.
Hiding inside of the bathroom closet of her Calera, Oklahoma, home, sixth grader Kendra was terrified after calling her mom, who told her where the gun was, and 911 when she heard the man reportedly ringing the doorbell, banging on the door and then trying to break in through the back.

Finally, she heard 32-year-old Stacey Jones enter the house and she hid in the bathroom closet with the .40-caliber Glock pistol as her mom recommended. Then, she saw the bathroom lights come on and the door to the closet start turning. That's when the young girl, holding the gun, shot him, hitting the intruder in the chest.
He immediately ran from the house, but luckily Bryan County police officers were able to chase him down, bring him to a hospital in Plano, Texas, before finally he was booked by Bryan County jail and is awaiting to appear in court in December, as reported by the New York Daily News.

I'm actually not a very big fan of people keeping guns in their houses. All of the stories I've seen of families, and especially kids, accidentally shooting someone that lives with them have convinced me that owning a gun is just never, ever a good idea. However, in this case, it may have saved this girl's life--and thank goodness for her bravery and standing up to the man who broke into her house.
