This 'Playboy' Playmate getting a genius visa is ridiculous

Okay, seriously, WHAT is going on?! I know that being the girlfriend of a celebrity can have quite a bit of nice privileges, but getting a special visa that's typically reserved for people that truly excel in their fields should NOT be one of them. So why, exactly, is Shera Bechard, the Canadian-born former girlfriend of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner getting a O-1 visa typically reserved for "individuals with extraordinary ability" from the U.S. government?

This is absolutely, positively incredible. I know quite a bunch of people who could use a visa a LOT more than this woman could. Now, I don't necessarily know her, but I seriously doubt that she deserves to be regarded as having "risen to the very top of the field of endeavor." In fact, can I suggest to the U.S. government that modeling naked is NOT a visa-earning opportunity? According to MSNBC, this is what happened:

Playboy magazine named Bechard Miss November in 2010, and she also started an online photo-sharing craze called "Frisky Friday." Neither seems quite on the level of an "internationally recognized award, such as a Nobel Prize," which the government cites as a possible qualification. But Los Angeles immigration lawyer Chris Wright argued that Bechard's accomplishments earned her a slot. The government ultimately agreed.

I mean, seriously. SERIOUSLY? This is just beyond ridiculous to me. There is absolutely no justification for the U.S. government to give a visa of this high caliber to a really hot girl when there are plenty of people out there (perhaps, you know, ACTUAL Nobel Prize winners) who are having issues getting one. I think this is just beyond ridiculous, period.
