WOW! There is SPANISH on the cover of Time Magazine
This is one of the most amazing things I have seen in a really long time.
Check out the photo of next week's Time magazine. No, it is not Time en Español. It is Time, one of the oldest and most respected news publications in the history of the United States and it HAS SPANISH ON THE COVER! For everyone to see. I am literally giddy with excitement.
Look at all those beautiful Latino faces. If you ever questioned the power of the Latino community in this country, you need to stop right now because the most mainstream publication ever just put your face on the cover, making it crystal clear how important we are to the future of the United States.
Now here is how you can screw it up.
By not voting in the 2012 Presidential election.
Time has rightly dedicated its cover to the power of the Latino vote heading into Super Tuesday and the Republican Primary in Arizona.
Nosotros vamos a decidir. That's the presidential election refrain coming from many American Latinos, a group of voters Michael Scherer explores in TIME's cover story next week. Nearly 9% of all voters in 2012 will be Latino, up 26% from four years ago, according to the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials. That figure will only continue to climb—per the Pew Hispanic Center, one in four children born in the U.S. is Latino, and every month, at least 50,000 Latino citizens turn 18.
